I thought about writinng my experience in my private blog (since I can be more sincere in there, and because I KNOW there are stalkers everywhere--are you an INTIan, ex-JESS, someone's parent, reading this blog?), but I guess good things can be shared (I refuse to use "Sharing is caring"--it's overused like "I love you").
Ehem.
Why attend ISK and usrah (since I don't usually get involved in these things).
Why? Because lately, I feel empty and aimless. Somewhere along the way, between uni applications and the holidays, I feel empty. I felt jealous reading other INTIans' blogs, because they seem to be happy with their enlightenment. Like, they have something that I lack.
I thought by joining the usrah I may gain something, so I did. And yes, I gained enlightenment. Then I decided to join ISK. Nothing to lose right?
What DID I gain?
First, knowledge and UNDERSTANDING about Islam that I didn't have before. I took Islam for granted before, I know that.
Now, I'm on my way of repairing my self--Mind, soul, body (I'm sorry if this sounds corny+cheesy).
I learned a bit about Islamic history, and I learn to appreciate the knowledge (dulu masa sekolah menengah main hentam keromo je hafal fakta-fakta sejarah Islam. Sekarang, dah mula MENGHAYATI isi-isi sejarah tu).
Anything to share?
Well, I met a lot of people in ISK--Kakaks, juniors, people from IPBA (Institut Pengajian Bahasa Antarabangsa--Hah, Hebat Amalina!).
I sincerely respect the kakaks and IPBA people. They are so knowledgable!
The people from IPBA are the same age as me (20), but they know so much about Islam, it made me realize how little I know. (Rasa rendah diri gila).
I truly admire those IPBA people (don't tell them, nanti malu I). Nanti Amalina juga nak timba ilmu macam orang-orang di IPBA.
Made me think--"I learn about US history and all that, from George Washington until Bush, but I don't know squat about Muslim idols. Teruk gila kan Amalina?"
So after this, little by little, Amalina has to learn more Islamic history. It seems fun.
New resolutions Amalina?
Oh yeah, I'm on my way of becoming a better Muslimah, and a better person.
So if you guys (especially INTI people) see Amalina dah mula wayward, dah mula malas, tolong remind me again to remember Allah. Saya lemah, and yes, there are a lot of temptations around here.
A few janji saya buat pada diri saya. (Tolong jangah ketawakan saya boleh tak? Nanti saya malu):
1. Solat tak mau tinggal.
2. Solat awal waktu.
3. Zikir kena ingat! Every week satu zikir!(Jangan dengar lagu Korea je)
4. Clothing--Hah, ni liat sikit. Amalina ni memang.
5. Belajar niat demi Allah (I like what Nadiah-san told us--As a student, the knowledge we gain can be used as a tool to drag people into the kandang).
6. Baca tafsir Quran (Nak memahami daripada baca membuta sahaja).
7. Be less judgemental (even my Mak said I'm too judgemental).
8. Be more humble.
9. Bash less people in blog(s).
That's it for now, I think.
Itulah yang saya dapat di ISK dan usrah yang baru dua kali pergi. Oh, one thing to share, I like seeing my friends pun nak pergi usrah bersama-sama saya, seperti Norlida, LF(nama terpaksa disembunyikan), Humaira, Aim. Membuatkan saya rasa kurang malu mahu pergi usrah.
Lastly, mintak maaf post panjang sangat.
P/S: Incik Cipan, are you reading this? I'd like to borrow you term "Itu dia, syaitan berkata-kata..."
Oh, and Incik Cipan, I don't think you ever say anything sharp like, menyakitkan hati. I like your smart mouth. :D

we'll always be there for u..
it's ok, slowly and take it easy..
its good for u to know what Islam really is first,
and then change when u know the reason why u should change..
amalan yang paling baik adalah yang istiqamah (constantly) walaupun sedikit..
remember,
we'll always be there for u..
