Where were we?

You know, people are usually concerned about where we'll go after death.

How come not many people ask about where we were before birth?

I mean, do we exist only after fertilization? How about before that? Where were we?

You can say we were some unfertilized eggs and sperms...

Well, how about before our parents were born?

Where were we?

We weren't even eggs and sperms yet.

Did we exist then?

If physical bodies are used as the yardstick for existence, then we need not grief for the dead.

Because they don't exist anymore either. They're not on Earth. Same as those unborn (or non-existent) babies.

So... If we think about it, our physical bodies can't be the sole indicator of our existence, right?

There has to be something more substantial to indicate our importance, other than our physical beings.

*~*~*

Well, that's what I think anyway.

  1. Malam tadi (Friday night), persatuan penduduk kita ada ceramah agama lagi... ustaz ismail something. Tapi dia tak suka bagi ceramah, so dia bagi kelas. Tapi tinggi sangat tahap ilmu yang nak dikongsinya tu, too academics.

Sorry kerana mak tak palsa anak-anak masuk sekolah pondok, atau sekolah menengah agama...that way you will have some basis to further this type of ilmu... tapi nak kata ilmu yang along tanya tu ada, cuma kita tak sampai ke situ lagi...so jangan fikir-fikir sendiri, bahaya.

  2. Janga risau mak. I don't kutip ilmu from internet (I'm always skeptical of ilmu from internet).

The point of the post is that if we think, just think for a bit more using the aqal Allah gave us, then we should be able to realize that this world is not everything.

There has to be something more to life.

It's logical to think that there should be an afterlife.

Otherwise this life will be useless.
